Junior Football is played on the Johnston Recreation Ground in Willaston on Saturdays, with teams aged from Under 8 to Under 16. All teams play in the Eastham and District League with training for all teams taking place on the Recreation Ground in August, September pre-season, and March, April at the end of the season. Winter training takes place on all-weather pitches at various centres close to Willaston.

The aim and continued ambition of the Club is to continue gaining Accreditation every year by maintaining the present teams, plus developing new teams every season especially Open Age and Woman’s football. So eventually, it will be possible to play from the age of 6 to 60 for Willaston FC.

There will be 10 teams running in the current season playing in the Eastham and District Junior League, plus a Tots group for Under 6 and 7 players.

Junior

Under 8’s play on a Saturday morning a mini pitch (5-a-side), with Under 9’s and Under 10’s play 7-a-side with Under11’s and Under 12’s playing 9-a-side on a slightly larger mini pitch.

Under 13’s, Under 15’s and Under 16’s play 11-a-side competitive football on Saturday mornings on larger pitches. Occasionally Cheshire County Cup games will be played on a Sunday.

All managers have Coaching and Safeguarding FA Qualifications.
