Planned volunteers Day

There is a planned volunteer work day planned on Thursday 25th January  at 10am on a bridleway in Willaston, it is located a couple of hundred yards past Hadlow Road station as you are heading out of the village ( a poster will be be put up at the entrance of the path advertising the details).  If any volunteers would like to help on the day, it will be just on the right at the tight bend but you will need to park at Hadlow station.

Below is a picture of the area that requires this attention:

Play Area – temporary closure

We have been working with Cheshire West and Chester Council to put in further improvements for the play area, which will take place over the weeks of 15th to 26th January 2018.  During this period, the play area will be temporarily closed. The new equipment includes:

  • A tractor and carriage for imaginative play
  • A roundabout
  • A play trail including stepping stones, coloured blobs and a wobble board
  • Road play markings on the path

Willaston District Community Plan

At the last meeting of the Residents’ Society, we reviewed our progress on implementation of the Willaston and District Community Plan.  We have made good progress on many of the actions identified but there are some that we cannot take forward.  A copy of the updated plan, showing our actions and progress made is available here:  January 18 WDCP Implementation plan update

FREE BIKE SECURITY MARKING

The chips are permanently fixed into the bikes and when scanned produce a unique reference number, that when run through the National mobile property register, returns details of ownership and bike details. – They are not TRACKERS.

You register your details onto www.immobilise.com.   and in the unfortunate event that  your  bike is  stolen, the details of the bike would be on hand to assist in the accurate reporting  of  the bike  details to the police to improve the chance of your bike being recovered.

If interested please email either wendy.dalton@cheshire.pnn.police.uk  or andrew.wynne@cheshire.pnn.police.uk where a time/place of convenience can be arranged.
