Business as usual at Hadlow Road Station

Whilst Cheshire West & Chester Council are renting out the Station Master’s House for a commercial café at Hadlow Road Station, it is business as usual for the community pop-up café provided by Friends of Hadlow Road Station (FHRS) volunteers. The FHRS café will continue to be open every other Sunday in the summer months through volunteers who provide their time free of charge. All profits from FHRS’ café are used to enhance the local environment at the station.

The commercial café that will be operated from the Station Master’s House is totally independent from the FHRS café. Our committee members are exploring how competition between the two cafés can be minimised.

In the meantime, we hope that our customers will continue to support us.  Opening dates in July and August 2017 are 16th & 30th July and 13th & 27th Aug; from 10:30 to 13:30.

We look forward to seeing new and repeat customers taking advantage of our tasty offerings on these dates whilst taking in the 1950’s ambience of Hadlow Road Station!

Poppy Appeal Organiser Needed

Last year, the Poppy Appeal in Willaston raised £3484.00. There is now a vacancy now for a new Poppy Appeal Organiser in the village to arrange for the collection this year. Please support this vital work of support for our servicemen and women and the upkeep of Remembrance for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
